Hey man,

I like this place. I work for compaq as a phone tech and would have to agree that a lot of the presario models suck. The big problem (as I see it) is that they use cheaper stuff to make the models inexpensive and un-upgradeable, then make us techs deal with all the problems this creates.

The thing that pisses me off the most about the way compaq operates is way they kind of scam the EU's with things that are not realy true. for example, the presario 2266 is a cyrix300 Mhz system, but when you
benchmark it with a intel 300 it realy is a 225 mhz system? compaqs solution to this is to create a new diagnostic tool that says it is a 300!!!! its not realy a lie but it is not realy the truth.

you might say why do I work there....? well we all need to eat, and I am allready in th process of looking for a new job.....!
