Consumer Grade Computer |
| I purchased a Compaq 4814 in January of
this year. Eight months, five motherboards, a power supply, and a sleep button.
Later, Compaq finally replaced the computer with a newer and better model. I was
temporarily appeased. I attempted to install Linux on this new 350mhz Presario using
partition magic 4.0, the latest and the best partitioning program on the market. It won't
work. Partion Magic says it's the computer and I'm thinking yeah yeah yeah so I call
Compaq. They tell me I have a consumer grade computer and that it probably won't work and
if I wanted to do "advanced" work like this I should have gotten a Deskpro, not
a Presario. WishthehellIhaddaDell!
