| I purchased a new Comapq presario laptop
(1235). When I took it home and began to use the damn thing it would not boot up properly.
Once I was able to boot up the computer, I was working away, when a terrible noise came
from the speakers. The next day I returned the computer to the, what I thought was, reputable dealer, and they said that the system board needed to be replaced. The computer was in my possesion for less than 18hrs, before I had to return it. You have heard of the 18 hour bra, well meet the 18 hour laptop. When I finally got the computer from said reputable dealer a week late, took it home and the peice of shit (hereafter refferd to as POS), still would not boot properly. As well POS would not enter or exit hibernation properly, and the the former terrrible speaker noise was now comming from the ear phone jack. I phoned Compaq about the growwing list of problems with POS, and I talked to some prick who told me that my computer was not a Hi-Fi system, despite the adds which boast "rich clear audio, and relistic 3D audio" and that maybe I should get new headphones, as if the $100 pair that I had were not enough. The audio is about on par with an AM radio in a fishtank. THANKS PAL. The boot up and hibernation problems were said to be fixable with their softpack, but I have yet to see any improvement. I guess I will have to see what next week holds computer problems, and the go round with thier so called customer support will likely continue. I only wish that I had found this web site before I made such a big mistake as to buy a compaq. Now my only mission in life will be to spread the word about the inherent lack of quality in all that Compaq does and claims. I hope that this makes it to you, as it was created on a Compaq. May my dieing words be"Compaq sucks". |
