Sucks!!1 Site I have to agree with you. I have been crazy with Compaq Presario sence July 28 1997.. I had a 4784 and it ended up with something like 8 or 10 hard drives , cant remember how many system boards , processor's, cables , monitor ,A drive C Drom , sound card and what ever else there was to put in it , including quick restoring it 18 times, After 8 months of this Compaq sent it to Huston, Texas.to cass management, it was supose to be back in seven days , it came back in a little over a months., with a bad hard drive. The cass mangement decided to replace it with a 4665 and add the Zip 100 drive because I had one in my last computer from hell .This one came to me with a bad hard drive , processor ,memory. and ended up with a having a bad system board ,that was last week it was replaced with an other processer and memory ( The put that and memory in it the week before). They also put a hard drive in it around December then a fue weeks later a prosesser and memory, and hard drive and a new hard drive but I forget when..I told cass mangement that this hard drive was bad when it as sent to me . and he was suppose to call me about working on the computer with Carbon Copy . I never heard from him and he droped me out of cass management. I found this out after a month , because he said he couldnt reach me on the phone. He could have emailed me and told me when he would call.It seams to me that cass mangement people can do what they want . he called me one night and asked if I was going to be up late and he would call me back in an hour , he never did.He also put windows 98 in the 4665 and now that I have quick restored it Im back to windows 95. Thats not right they upgraded it and now they wont give it back to me . Today they are comming to put a new Zip 100 drive in because sence last Thursday when they replaced everything my Zip 100 drive wont work , when I put the disk in it tells me to format it and then it stars making a clicking sound, it opened up one time after I just let it click away but it wouldnt let me drag my files to the desk top.The A drive is doing the same thing. Now I have to quick restore it again.I called compaqs last night and I told the tect that the memory was bad , hard drive and modem also it is a peice of garbage.Last week when I quick restored it I had to call tech suport and ask them to help me put Network Neighborhood on my desk top and got and argument from the tech about the icon being on the desk top. He said I didnt need it and I told him that if you dont have Client for Microsoft checked it wont save your pass word . He was rude and argumentative.and kept repeating himself that if it was supose to be there it would have been on the quick restore. I asked them to go thru DO'S and check to see if the hard drive was bad and they told me there is no such thing., I no that can be down because I did it with cass management . I am so upset today over having to quick restore this computer and I
know this hard drive is bad and memory . and it will have to be replaced again and I will
have to quick restore it again. I have also windows telling me that I have preformd an
illigal action on everthing from Word pad to monitor. When I click on the Icon for
Netscape I get an illigal action and I click out of that and then Nescape opens up, then I
get illigal actions all over Netscape , they sent me a disk to fix that problem and it
didnt work.. It goes on an on . Im am going to try some of the numbers you have on your
