some (paranoid?) thoughts about presario

I was just thinking about it and figured something out: Compaq presarios are made for that old businessmen who know almost nothing about computers and use it only to write some reports on a text processor, then turn it off and the computer will get back to its main function: a decorative piece of futuristic furniture on their offices so the old guys will look more "important" to their clients or visitors. They'll never need to upgrade their machines, since a text processor (like word), a spreadsheet (like excel) and a financial control program (like quicken) will never fail or demand a hardware upgrade.

I saw some compaq advertisings on the fox network tv channel, and they give exactly this impression I just told, no more, no less. Did you know that the "businessman" word can be spelled "empresario" in latin languages (like portuguese, spanish, etc.)? emPRESARIO... maybe there's something on this hole... or I'm just getting paranoid. A long time ago, when compaq started to develop their presario line, most of the businessmen knew absolutely nothing about computers. This scene is not much different today, except for the internet, which even a 9 years old child can figure its basic use. Maybe that's why it's still called presario... I think Presario computers are made exclusively for people who don't know much and will never do or want to do. Notice how people who have a little more knowledge and try to get a little more of their computer's capability will have problems almost all the time. Presarios are not for us, and that's why you'll get nothing when someone at compaq notices that you actually know what you're doing, that you know what you're talking about: because they feel you may discover the truth at anytime.
