I cant believe this site , i was trying to find the site for a compaq soft paq , WOW!! is this a wakeup call I purchased my compaq about a year ago and i have to tell you that it has given me nothing but ulcers.

I cant understand how my $2000.00 computer is giveing me nothing but problems , yet my friend whom just around the same time bought a $450.00 who knows what make computer "witch i should add , comes with a better freakin warrenty," has not had one problem yet. My story is proubably like most of you , i had owened one of the first 486 models , and i loved it "hell my 8yr old kid still plays on it . and it turns out that ive been using it alot more lately because of the 'sucky" compaq i purchased . Well i must tell you after seeing this site i will be withdrawing some of my stock holdings today.

Anyway , not to bor you with my misrable story,but i just recently got of the phone with a tech that wants me to download this 9400 soft paq "witch seems to be ther favorite",if you really want to get on there nerves after they tell you to download a softpak tell them that the last tech had you do that, and say that to every thing they say after that. That really will tell you alot about the technicion your dealing with , because the idiots tend to get very frustrated with the fact that there little softpak act is not going to get you off the phone its a great way to relieve stress , but be prepared for them to hang up on you after they relize they cant get rid of you that easy. I must confess , some times i call just to relieve stress.

my curent issue is my system that goes to sleep "more often than it should"is not wakeing up.I swear its like haveing a teenager, and if someone from compaq is reading this,WHY CANT I DECIDE TO TURN MYYY COMPUTER OFF MYSELF!! what the hell is this sleep mode bullsh@.

Since ive owend this system ive had a system board replaced a cpu and memmery, for the same issues. a hard drive for another. And the funniest thing , if you are ever fortunite enough to have a tech come to your house to fix your computer they will actually agree with you that compaq sucks.And they will tell you that the part they are fixing is not going to fix your computer, and the best part , they will sell you a coupl of parts that will make your compaq a non compaq system" thanks".I must confess though , the last tech i talked to accualy helped me and did not seem to worried about the time limit that you speak of,witch actaully explains alot. The last tech actually solved most of my problems and at least he tried to actually listen and fix my problem.And i might add is the only reason im on the internet." thank you cris simons"if any of you techs know him . And ive spocken to a couple of others in the past that were good also.

But for the most part ussally if you have a problem , plan the night ahead of time and get comphy because you will be calling , and calling , and calling . till finnaly you find a tech that will take the time to help you. And now that ive read some of these storys i feel bad for them. $7.50 an hr , i have to say im so happy i found this sight because i had alot of money invested in compaq, and like everything there is a turning point. And it all ussualy leads to the way your emploeys are treated , thus the way they treat your custemers. I think mabe there turning point is near , they have gottin big enogh to where its sink or swim. and there employes are poring the cement in there shoes. Im sorry butt this is the last compaq ill ever own and as for you tech guys , listen closely for my name because when i get crampy about my system i like to call and mess up your call times.
