Frontpage Story #5

OK, we have two Compaq Presarios that have three year warranties. One year labor, 3 parts. I called up to get a new hard drive because the old one died, and was told that I had to return the machine to a service center to have it repaired. That costs about $100 bucks, about what the drive costs. $100 to remove six screws. They would not let me get the drive directly and install it myself. I hate them and never ever will by a Compaq as long as I live. I urge others to do the same. I have complained to the FTC and the Better Business Bureau on this.
