| Bought a 4860 in 12-97 only to find it was
a store return and resold to me (4 months and 1 millions tears later) Compaq was
"nice" enough to trade me for a 4665 - worked fine for 14 months ("IT"
didn't know I bought the ex-warr.- 2 more years on-site) Now every other day SOMETHING
different is WRONG! Since Oct 12 '99 I have called Compaq EVERYDAY - thus far - after 7
Q.R.'s, and replacing the motherboard and modem - I am being told I have to TAKE the unit
in for a bench test... at 90 lbs and with a heart condition - moving this thing around is
not in the schedule! They have informed me that unless I take it in - the problems are
mine to deal with. NICE TO KNOW THEY CARE IF THEIR CUSTOMER WILL SURVIVE TOTING AROUND THEIR EQUIPMENT!!!! I WILL buy a new system in March - but it will NOT BE A COMPAQ! |
