| About 2 months back, I sold an old
computer I had been using for a few years. I paid $2000 for this computer and sold it for
less than $400, which was a really good deal. I worked for months and months to get enough
money to add to the $400 to buy a new computer. After I earned enough money, I headed to Office Max where I purchased a Compaq Presario, from what I thought was a really nice computer system. I took it home, set it up, and was back on the net within minutes. I am a webmaster of a very populaur website and I have many files and expensive programs that I downloaded, which took many hours to complete. So I got all of my software downloaded and was all set to go. But, a few days later when I attempted to put a disk in the disk drive, I noticed that it wouldn't go in. So I inspected it, and found that the dumb ass Compaq queers had installed the floppy disk drive in crooked. I was told by Compaq's so called "Technical Support" that I needed to exchange the computer for another one at the store. Returning it would mean losing all files and downloads that I had on the system. I hesitated to return it but I had no choice. Office Max kindly gave me a better Compaq Presario than what I had purchased for no extra charge, I was pleased with this service. As I got this Compaq system home I tried to start up the computer, but Windows would not load. So, I called back to Compaq, and was told to take this system back to the store. So I did what they said. After going back to Office Depot for the third and final time, I finally got a "descent" Compaq computer. But, it didn't last long. After getting all of my software and files downloaded once again, the Compaq computer crashed and I was told by Compaq to Quick Restore Windows, in other words means that Windows would be re-installed. Once again I downloaded all my files and software back and a few weeks later, it crashed again and I was told by Compaq to Quick Restore AGAIN. So I did as told and lost all of my files and software. And here I am today, having to Quick Restore Windows for the seventh time in less than three months. Most people would call me crazy for keeping this Compaq computer after all the problems, but I do not have the money to buy another. So I am stuck with Compaq. So in a brief run down, I have had to make three 45 minute trips to Office Depot to get 3 different Compaq computers, Lose all my files and Quick Restore Windows Seven times, and put up with all of Compaq's bullshit! Advice: DO NOT BUY A COMPAQ COMPUTER! |
