About a year or so ago, I was interested in upgrading my Presario 5528 running on an Intel Pentium 75 to a Pentium 100. After E-mailing and calling Compaq about the feasiblity of this, they recommended a Pentium 166 or 200. After installing the Pentium 200, even though the jumpers were set correctly, it refused to push past 100. After calling them about this, I discovered that they in reality had never heard of this being done before, even though one of their own was contacted. Buying a CPU that runs at 200 and will only run at 100 in your computer really sucks. Compaq sucks. Don't buy from Compaq. From now on, I am building my own computers.
