Frontpage Story #57

I just want to say that this site is great, and that Compaq computers are the worst ever made; they are an insult to human achievement. Sumerian clay tables are far more reliable. It's a shame. 5 out of 6 persons I know that own a Compaq are very dissapointed (the 6th person never used the computer. I wonder why?!). My case, well, evaluate it yourself: Couple of years ago, I bought the forementioned computer; I was very happy. I also sent a mail-in rebate of a $150 for buying three products. Everything was going smooth until the freaking third week the hard drive failed, and I had to replace it. Ever since then, it was a nightmare: format the hard drive 100+ times, my computer entered "grave mode" instead Sleep Mode, crash and freeze out of the normal, CD-ROM door got stuck. I found that Compaq philosophy was not customer oriented; all my requests were ignored. By the way, I still waiting for the rebate from four years ago. Right know I'm using a HP; great computer. I still have my Compaq, but it's just collecting dust in a corner; probably the only efficient task that can handle. Thank you guys for spread the word... J
